Introduction

Candied yams, just like my Grandma makes Candied yams, just like my Grandma makes
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    yams, 1 per person
    butter to dot top of casserole
    brown sugar to sprinkle on the marshmallows
    cinnamon to taste
    large marshmallows

Directions

Peel and cut yams into 1-1/2" chunks
boil until barely soft and drain
arrange yams in a casserole or cake pan
dot the top with butter
sprinkle with brown sugar
sprinkle with cinnamon
bake for ~20 minutes, until butter and sugar are melted
remove from oven and arrange large marshmallows to mostly cover top of casserole
replace in oven and watch--marshmallows will plump and brown quickly

serve immediately
