Introduction
I love sushi but I always gain weight if I eat more than the smallest amount of carbs. So I've turned to making the sushi without the sushi. Ingredients
-
1 Sheet Nori
1/2 Haas Avocado, sliced thinly
1/3 of a Cucumber, skinned and sliced into sticks
2 oz raw Tuna, sliced into 1/4" thick strips
1 oz cream cheese
Directions
1. Lightly wet Nori so it is pliable, making it easier to roll later.
2. In one long strip, across nori, layer cucumber, avocado, and tuna.
3. Take the cream cheese (I use full fat and the recipe is calculated w/ it). Shape it in your hand into a long thin strip that will fit across the top of your filling.
4. Roll as tightly as possible without having the ingredients fall out. Slice and serve.
Note: If you are concerned about raw fish, you can substitute boiled crab or tiger shrimp.
