Introduction

Ingredients

    1/2 c all-purpose flour
    1/5 c. whole wheat flour
    1/2 t. baking powder
    1/4 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. salt
    1 stick (1/2 c.) unsalted butter, softened
    3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1 large egg
    1/2 t. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. granola
    1/4 c. dried cranberries, chopped
    3/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl with an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg, beating until combined well, and beat in vanilla. Beat in flour mixture and stir in remaining ingredients.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoons 2 in. apart onto buttered baking sheets and bake in batches in middle of oven, 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden. Cool cookies on racks. Cookies keep in airtight containers 5 days.

Makes 36 cookies.
