Introduction

Easy & taste very good - no one will really know they are made with whole wheat! Easy & taste very good - no one will really know they are made with whole wheat!
Number of Servings: 7

Ingredients

    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 cup white flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    2 T brown sugar
    6 T melted butter
    2 cups low fat buttermilk
    2 large eggs

Directions

Wisk dry ingredients together, add butter, eggs & buttermilk. Place 1/2 cup of batter into Belgian Waffle iron and cook as normal. Yields 7-8 servings. You can use a regular waffle iron, it will make about 12 waffles. Enjoy :)

    Very Good
    We LOVED this recipe, but it was NOT a really healthy one, due to the real butter! But, alas! It's Christmas break, so we indulged! Next time, I'll probably substitute apple sauce for most of the butter. - 12/31/14
