Introduction

This is a great sauce for most pizzas--I use it most frequently on veggie pizza but also works for supreme, meat pizzas, or any classic combo of meat, cheese & veggies. Ingredients

    1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
    1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon dried basil
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    ½ teaspoon onion powder
    1 teaspoon ground sweet paprika
    1 teaspoon sugar
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    Fresh cracked pepper to taste
    2 teaspoons olive oil
    1 teaspoon white vinegar

Directions

Place all the ingredients in a medium sized bowl and stir together.

Makes 1½ cups of pizza sauce (for me, that's enough for two large pizzas b/c I go heavy on the sauce). Nutritional info is calculated using 1 1/2 Tablespoons as the serving size.

    Outstanding! Only recipe I'll use going forward. I've made a couple batches for the freezer to have ready to go on (almost) a moments notice. The vinegar sounded a little strange, but i do believe it's what's been lacking in previous tries at homemade sauces. Thanks!! - 9/1/11

    I was a bit uncertain about the paprika but decided to make the recipe as shown, except I used red wine vinegar because that's what I had. I like the result but may upgrade my rating to five stars once the flavors blend overnight. I am using it on cauliflower tonight with melted mozzarella cheese. - 3/31/15

    Absolutely loved, just enough spice although now sure how...had everything on hand so it was quick and easy for a nice lunch. We put it opiated bread with veggies, cheese, Parmesan and pepperoni, the pita bread gave it a hint of sweetness. - 9/13/13
