Ingredients
-
Dry Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Wet ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted and cooled to lukewarm
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix ins:
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350F. Prep a 8" x 8" baking pan by spraying with non-stick spray and lining with parchment paper, allowing the parchment to hang over the sides to form a sling. This will help you de-pan the blondies later.
Mix together dry ingredients in a bowl, reserving one tablespoon of flour. In a small bowl, mix together the tablespoon of flour with the chocolate chips; this will keep them from sinking to the bottom of the blondie.
Mix together wet ingredients in another, larger bowl, until well combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing just until the flour is incorporated. Mix in the flour/chocolate chip mixture until well combined.
Pour blondie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing evenly. Bake at 350F for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, lifting blondies out using the parchment sling to cool on a rack. When cool, cut into 16 2" squares.
Makes 16 2" blondies
