Introduction

This is a simple and tender way to cook pork. I usually like it served with a vegetable side and boiled red potatoes, but any grain or pasta side works well too. Ingredients

    4- 4oz pork chops
    1 cup sliced sweet onions
    2 T olive oil
    2 cups unsweetened applesauce
    4 T balsamic vinegar
    pepper to taste

Directions

Slice enough sweet onions to make a cup of onion slices
add olive oil to covered fry pan and heat.
Add pork chops and brown on each side. Add onions and heat until translucent.
Turn pan heat to simmer and add applesauce and balsamic vinegar to pan. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes.
Pork will be fork tender.
Serves four. One chop, plus applesauce and onions.
Serve with your favorite vegetables and grains or potatoes as side dish.
