Introduction

Shake of the month found in Feb. 2010 Oxygen issue. I did alter a few things and I'm definitely going to be seeking out a cleaner protein powder when I get my current one used up. Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1.5 c. fresh strawberries
    2 ripe kiwi peeled and quartered
    1 c. unsweetened vanilla almond breeze
    1 scoop of protein powder
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tsp agave nectar


Directions

Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately.

I like a thick consistency so I froze my fruit. Makes a big serving, almost too full for the magic bullet. My calories were way different then Oxygen's but I'm assumining its my protein powder because they actually called for low fat milk vs. almond breeze. Enjoy it's delicious!

    What can you do to get the 231.8mg sodium down? - 3/11/10

    I'm sure you can find a cleaner protein powder. Mine is only 80mg of the sodium it looks like, the majority comes from the almond milk so maybe look for a different alternative or just use water.
