This is a wonderful base for any muffin mix. The applesauce creates a very moist muffin and you can add any extra fruits and nuts as you wish. You won't even notice they are healthy! Ingredients

    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 flax seeds
    2 eggs
    1 cup milk
    1/2 cup apple sauce
    1/2 fruits and/or nuts

Directions

Makes 12(large)-16(small) muffins.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Sift first five ingredients together in a bowl, add flax seeds.
Mix together in a separate bowl: eggs, milk and applesauce.
Combine dry and wet ingredients together and add fruits/nuts.
Bake 15-18 minutes and enjoy.
