Introduction

Uses dry pinto beans washed and picked through. No Need to soak. Everything into a large crockpot. I use celery flakes and lots of pepper. Set the crockpot on high to get started and turn to low after about an hour. Check in about 4 hours for bean tenderness. Or put on low and go to work and come back to dinner ready. Now, the beans are done, taking a potato masher or immersion blender mash or puree some of the beans. This will thicken the broth just enough for the authentic southern style. Serve with your favorite cornbread or my Dairy Hollow House Cornbread. Uses dry pinto beans washed and picked through. No Need to soak. Everything into a large crockpot.
