Ingredients

3 cups fresh or frozen and thawed berries
2 large apples, cored and chopped
2 tbsp whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
For the topping:
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 nonhydrogenated soft margarine, melted
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
1. Combine the berries and apple in an 8-inch square microwaveable baking dish. Combine the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture over the fruit and toss gently.
2. To make the topping, combine the oats, brown sugar, margarine, pecans, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit mixture. Microwave on high for about 6 minutes, or until the fruit is tender. Serve as is or with a dollop of yogurt.
