Introduction
Yummy vegan cookies, I altered a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe to my liking. Even my non-vegan friends like them, and went back for seconds! I suggest tasting the dough and altering recipe to desired taste. And the dough is safe to eat because there are no eggs!!!!I hope you enjoy these Yummy vegan cookies, I altered a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe to my liking. Ingredients
-
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 1/4 cup Organic Natural Apple Sauce
* 1/2 medium sized banana
* 1 cup whole wheat flower
* 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
* 8 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips
* 4 tbsp Raw Agave Nectar
* 1/2 cup oats
* 1 tsp ground cinnamon
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350F, Lay parchment paper, or grease cookie sheet
1. Mix Whole Wheat Flour, Baking Soda, and Cinnamon in bowl
2. In food processor, mix brown sugar, apple sauce, banana, vanilla, agave until well blended, no chunks
3. Pour Wet ingredients into flour, mix well.
4. Add Oats, and chocolate chips, mix.
5. drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto sheet, spacing evenly
This is where I taste the dough and decide if I want to add anything extra such as coconut, peanut butter, dried cranberries, nuts, or if i want to make it sweeter ;) but of course this will change the calorie count :(
6. Heat in oven (at 350) for about 10-15, mine went to about 20 but i was checking them constantly, so take out when they edges are a light brown
This recipe made me about 17 cookies but that was after my roommate and i had a little of the dough...the calorie count is for 17 cookies.
