Introduction

I love this vinegar based coleslaw recipe! Save on calories but have a great dish for fish, bbq or with ANYTHING! I love this vinegar based coleslaw recipe! Save on calories but have a great dish for fish, bbq or with ANYTHING!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    3 Cups shredded cabbage (i use the bag stuff that's already shredded for you)
    3T vinegar (use cider...i sometimes use white if i don't have cider on hand)
    2T sugar
    1/4 t pepper
    1/4 t salt
    1/4 t dry mustard
    1/4 t celery or caraway seed (i have only used celery)


Directions

combine all ingredients beside cabbage in a bowl. Whisk until sugar is desolved. Pour on top of cabbage. Let sit about an hour before serving.

    This is really good. It appears that the Olive oil was left out of the recipe but calculated into the nutritional data. I used a little less sugar and added a little thinly sliced and cut onion. Great recipe! Thanks - 6/6/10

    I was looking for a vinegar based cole slaw to go with pulled pork for a Super Bowl Party. This fit the bill perfectly. I did add the 1 1/2 t olive oil shown under the nutritional information. So easy and so delicious. - 2/4/11
