Ingredients

500g passata
300 grams chorizo
1/2 a yellow or green pepper
I onion
black pepper and/or chilli pepper to taste
basil to taste
garlic puree
sweetener
2tsp olive oil
Directions
heat olive oil in a pan and gently cook onions and pepper till softened
Add Chorizo cut into chunky slices or cubes about 1 inch sq cook for a further minute or two.
Add basil and black and or chilli pepper to taste. Cook turning regularly for 1 min.
Add passata and leave to simmer for 5 mins
Add sweetener 2 tablet should be enough - this counteracts the acidity of the tomatoes.
Allow to cook slowly for about 10 mins stirring regularly then add the broccoli cut into small florets and allow to cook for approximately another 5 mins depending on size of broccoli - it should be tender but not soft.
Serve with pasta and topped with peccorino or parmesan cheese. (calories not included in receipe0
