Ingredients

    1 box Betty Crocker French vanilla cake mix
    1 12 can diet a & w cream soda
    1 pint strawberries sliced
    Lite cool whip
    baking spray

Directions

preheat oven to 350, spray 9x13 with baking spray, mix cake mix and soda with electric mixer on low for 2 min, pour into 9 x13, bake for 30min or until tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean, cool complete, serve topped with strawberries and whipped topping

    This cake is very tasty but I think the calorie count is off. A cake mix (just the dry portion) is 170 calories per serving (1/12 of the box). The cool whip and fruit only add minimal calories but it's not as much of a diet cake as you would think. - 2/14/11

    I'm on a diet? REALLY? This cake is so good it's like cheating, without the remorse. The consistency is a bit crumbly, I'm assuming because there is no oil, but with the strawberries & cool whip, it holds together well enough to eat! I think this would work with any fresh fruit. A keeper for sure!!! - 6/11/10
