Nutrition & Calorie Comments

There seems to be more fiber in steel cut, or in not chewing well enough
How come this recipe has more calories than AB's recipe if this is a healthier version? This has 1/2 Tbsp more butter though.
LOVE this recipe. the cooking of the oats in some butter really gives a great flavor to this. I use just a little bit for flavoring and it is yummy. I used all water (no milk) to keep calorie count low. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for this simple stove top recipe..I love the Alton Browns recipe , but I know that cutting the fat is key...Thank you Momma_Little this is wonderful! I topped it with fresh strawberries and a hint of brown sugar...yummo!
Great recipe! I added a little bit of brown sugar and sliced banana to it for a yummy breakfast.
Yum, Lori, I don't use any butter or salt, just water (which I bring to a boil first). I just follow the instructions on the bag... not nearly as gourmet!!!then we add fresh blueberries and a little maple syrup... We love it, almost every morning!!! Enjoy!
