Nutrition & Calorie Comments

i have made something similar, but adding a can of Ro-Tel tomatoes ( pick your favorite flavor) and a little Mexican seasoning. So good!!!! Wrap it in a low carb tortilla with a little cheddar cheese - heaven on earth!
Didn't try the original recipe. After reading some comments I did my own "take". I added a chopped chicken breast and a packet of taco seasoning. That combo was a bit salty for me, but adding the chicken was a real PLUS. Will continue to experiment and come up with perfect pintos. THANKS!
Super easy to tweak to taste with your favorite salsa and can compliment a salad with great protein.
I made this with just a little extra garlic. Pretty good. I liked having it around to just spread on corn tortillas for a protein boost before I worked out!
Yummy. I used a fresh made salsa w/much lower sodium. Calories the same, nutrients except lower sodium the same.
I thought this was good. Very very very easy to make, which was a plus. I thought it was a little bland though. After reading the last comment I added pepper flakes, garlic powder, cumin, and salt, and still found it to be somewhat bland.
Husband liked it though!!
