Nutrition & Calorie Comments

Tried this last night. Added more veg and used chicken italian sausage. It worked out to 8 servings for us, which reduced the calorie count by half!

Will definitely be making this again. This is an excellent base to use to create a variety of different meals.
I absolutely LOVED this!!! I'm sure my hubby will say the same when he eats it after work. The flavor is just great. I used turkey sausage so I'm assuming the calorie count went down. Thanks! I will definitely make this again.
Looking forward to trying this. I like to use the Butterball lowfat turkey smoked sausage for less fat. It has a nice flavor.
WONDERFUL recipe. I substituted Jenni-O turkey sausage and cooked it beforehand before adding it to the recipe, which took some calories out. I cut the carrots on the bias, and used regular carrots instead of baby carrots and they were cooked to perfection.
I enjoyed the hearty dish. Simple, Easy, and tasty.
( wish the sausage wouldn't have so much salt) Maybe I can look for a lower sodium sausage next time.
We make this recipe all of the time! We made it for our Christmas potluck and my whole family loves it! We use turkety kielbasa to save some calories.
I made Hearty Potato and Sausage Bake this evening. It was wonderful and so simple. The only things I changed were using organic canola oil instead of butter and Kosher salt instead of regular salt. This was a winner with my family and I think it will be one for your family, too!
