These taste all right but are a little dry; I did not mind them but the family didn't really care for them; so I probably won't be making them again. - 9/5/07

They were good but not too sweet. Rather cakey for cookies, also, it makes more than 16 cookies, so the calories would be slightly lower. Good option for dessert to sneak in some fiber. - 8/2/07

fantastic! I had people over at the last minute, and they loved these. I used flax seed instead of oat for more fiber. Just like banana nut bread. - 7/22/07

A delightful cross between a slice of banana bread and an oatmeal cookie; absolutely delicious. I will definitely be making this cookie again. - 7/20/07

So, far best healthy oatmeal cookie I have found! My altercations... used 1/4 cup butter & added 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce, 2 eggs, subbed Splenda brown sugar, I used 1.5c wheat flour and .5c vanilla protein powder and did not add the oat bran. added unsweetened coconut and walnuts. YUMMM - 3/1/12

    To: VNEZOLANA
    .5 is a fraction of 1.

In this case, .5 represents 5/10 of a cup... 5/10 = 1/2... or in this case... one half... of a cup. So the answer to your question is... .5 cup = 1/2 cup (not 5 cups).

I substitued both sugars for 3/4 c. honey, used 1/2 c. applesauce instead of any butter, and used wheat germ instead of bran. I did use 1/3 c. chocolate chips - my kids loved them! - 8/23/10

I agree that these are the best banana oatmeal cookies! I left out the salt, added extra oatmeal and substituted raisins for chocolate chips and they are excellent! Soft, fluffy, came right off the parchment paper. Tasty! - 6/6/10

sounds like a good cookie but would not use up 200 calories on just one cookie. - 7/26/07

207 calories per cookie? Certainly is high....I think I'll try cutting that down by using splendra and smartbeat margarine. The flaxseed is a great idea though. - 7/24/07
