When you want chow mein, skip take-out & try this recipe. Pretty easy to cook & tastes just right. I sliced the beef mostly frozen, much easier. Also added Hoisin, Thai Hot Sauce & red pepper flakes. Good recipe with lots of options; peapods, mushrooms, shredded carrots. Yum! Thanks for sharing! =) - 4/19/12

I have made this using minced beef and adding a packet of chicken noodle soup mix and a tablespoon of curry powder to give it some more flavor. - 1/24/11

I use shiritaki noodles for this, and bagged coleslaw mix that often has carrots, brocolli or other veggies mixed in with the shredded cabbage. It's also great with baby bok choy. Quick and easy. - 1/24/12

This recipe is delish! Next time I will try making it with thinly slice baby bok-choy which is one kind of Chinese cabbage and great for stir fry! We love all kinds of cabbage here even just stirfried with garlic in a little olive oil so this recipe was a winner with dh & son from the start! Thanks! - 1/24/12

I love to make this. I don't use cabbage, I use string beans (cut small), carrots (cut in squares sometime round), sometimes use chicken, beef, or shrimp. This is a delicious meal and will keep you full for a long time. - 1/24/11

I liked the ingredients, but didn't really like the sauce. It needs something else, but I don't know what. The kids picked out everything that wasn't meat or noodle and refused to eat it. - 11/4/07
