OK except the bullion cubes bring up the sodium. Better with low salt stock, store bought or home made. - 4/20/09

I made this for a lunch the other today. It was quick easy and delicious. I did not have any ground turkey available so we used lean beef and I also added some ground cumin and onions. I served it with grilled cheeses and it was a fantastic lunch! - 5/8/08

This is the soup for people when they are sick. It gives strengh. two cups of water, one onion, one tomatoe, all chopped, then when the wateris boiling you throw an egg. Also pieces of bread optional. Salt to taste. When the egg is done the soup is ready.Similar to this soup. - 4/20/09

Used low fat salt free stock instead of bouillion and water (This immediately cuts the sodium #) Used tomatoes from garden - any recipe that uses tomatoes this time of year is a plus. Used fresh broccoli.Good soup. Made again with garlic, and jalepeno, red, green peppers from garden. Great soup - 9/10/11

I used organic low sodium veg. stock or chicken stock instead of bouillon cubes and water. I made this a few times during the long winter. Quick easy and warm. - 4/5/10

there are countless variations of the traditional meat/vegetable/stock combination. I just use whatever I have on hand and add herbs and spices. Sounds like another "just throw this and that in a pot" but also sounds sort of bland. I will make and doctor it up with additional veggies and flavors. - 6/17/08

A simple meal to throw together. I used low sodium broth and turkey medalions instead of the ground turkey and also added spinach, onions, garlic and celery. Have two bowls - no guilt here! - 6/20/12

Used low sodium Better than Boullion, added some spiced (poultry seasoning, sage, garlic, onion powder and a few red pepper flakes for zing). Delish. Great base recipe to do what you want!

I also have some turkey bones left over. Will make my own stock, which will work well with this recipe.

This was a base recipe. Liquid was combo of 1/2c salsa, 1.5c garden cocktail, 1.5c chicken broth, 1 tsp curry powder. Chopped & sauted 1lg onion. Simmered frozen turkey pieces & broccoli flowerets in liquid, then tossed in onion when it was ready. Very, very tasty!! - 11/20/11

Sounds yummy. My mouth is watering reading this. I think I would use low-sodium chicken or beef stock rather than the water and the bullion cube. I would also add some garlic and onion. Will try this soon.
