Introduction

You can use this sauce in spicy tuna rolls, or on a volcano or lava roll. The Sriracha hot sauce is the secret ingredient (the one with the rooster on the bottle!). You can be authentic and use "real" Japanese Mayonnaise (Kewpie), but good old Hellman's works fine too. You can use this sauce in spicy tuna rolls, or on a volcano or lava roll. I make this with regular or lite mayo and sriracha all the time for sandwiches too. I have not tried it with sesame oil, but to cut calories I up the sriracha and it gives everything a flavor boost without being too spicy. - 3/31/14

    Incredible!
i like the sauce, though i add a little bit of masago as well.
but to be honest, whether you use Kewpie or not, it is not authentic since in japan, we don't use this sauce at all.
but it does taste good, and i enjoy eating sushi which has it in north america.

This-stuff-is-great! Used good ole Hellmans, also had to use canola oil because I was out of sesame oil, (I thought I had it on my pantry shelf.) But even with the substitutions it is awesome. Thank you for enlightening us to a great recipe for an otherwise exotic ingredient. - 8/5/09
