This was excellent. It was so good that I didn't add rice or noodles. Loved the way the flavors blended together. I added some siracha, ginger and soy sauce (about 1T each) . One the list of rotating menus! - 2/12/16

I read all the comments and I cooked everything separately but I added beet greens and celery and the meal was fantastic. I also thickened some pineapple juice with cornstarch and that took it over the top. - 7/18/12

very tasty indeed. i do suggest like other members that you cook everything separately so that you don't lose the healthy colors and so that everything does not go 'smooshy' served over brown rice and enjoyed!! - 6/2/12

Very easy to make, and as another poster noted, I also thickened the pineapple juice with cornstarch so it had a thicker consistency. I also added about 1 tsp. of Sriracha, which gave it a nice little after kick...barely noticeable, but a good complement to the sweet and tart of the pineapple. - 4/8/13

This looked disgusting. The Broccoli disintegrated and it just didn't look pretty at all. thank goodness we didn't have company for dinner. The Taste was really delicious tho. Next time i will cook everything separate then toss everything together at the end
The recipe was very vague on minutes coo

I used 20 oz canned pineapple in juice instead of fresh. I used about 1/2 of the juice. I also thickened with corn start. I added some canned baby corn I had. Very tasty. - 10/21/16

My hubby gave me a great compliment on a dish based on this recipe. I didn't have cabbage, so I used carrots and celery along with onion, red pepper, broccoli, and pineapple. Served it with brown rice. Hubby said, "I just go to the grocery store and buy things on sale and you turn it into a feast." - 11/2/13

I did add some soy sauce and pineapple juice to the chicken, and it turned out great. It really came together quickly (be careful not to overcook), and I served it over brown rice. It was a hit with DH, so I will be making it again. - 3/15/12

I enjoyed it. The mix of spicy and sweet made it surprisingly flavorful. For myself, I made it as directed, only adding about 1/4 tsp of pepper. Great find for my reduced sodium diet. My husband added soy sauce to his and enjoyed it. Will make this again. - 12/30/11

I thought this was tasty. However, I would add some sweet and sour sauce to it for a little more flavor. - 6/4/08

Really good. I bought pre-sliced pineapple and broccoli to cut prep time. I added garlic w/ onions and peppers and used 1/2 the oil. I also omitted cabbage for finicky eaters and added an extra red pepper. - 4/28/08

so good! i added the soy sauce and pineapple juice to my chicken to let it marinate a little. as for exact measurements, not sure. probably 1/4 cup each. i'm bad with estimating though i just dump stuff in! it's just a marinade so don't worry about being too exact :o) - 4/21/08
