Usually I use white rice, but brown rice gives this much more nutritional value. This is high in protein and potassium.

Orginal receipe called for 16 oz tomato sauce which I cut down to 12oz and 1.5 cups cottage cheese which I reduced to 1 cup. I did this to try to reduce the sodium in the receipe.
I got this recipe out of a slow-cooker cookbook that I received for my birthday. I haven't tried it yet so I plan to try it out.
