Introduction
Saltine Crackers with a kick Saltine Crackers with a kickNumber of Servings: 33
Ingredients

1 cup of Light-tasting olive oil
1 box of multi-grain saltine crackers
1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix (dry powder package)
1 tbsp of garlic powder
1 tbsp of crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
Make sure you use "light-tasting" olive oil - regular olive oil has to strong of flavor. Also make sure to use Hidden Valley Ranch "Dressing" mix not the "Dips" mix
In a large tupperware container place entire box of saltine crackers.
In a bowl mix light-tasting olive oil, package of HVR dressing mix, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, and 1 tbsp of crushed red pepper flakes.
Pour mixture over the saltine crackers and seal tupperware container. Continuously flip the container to make sure the mixture evenly coats all the crackers.
Makes 33 servings of 5 crackers each.
Great with salads (especially if you are skipping the dressings.)

I've made these for years also, but with just the ranch mix. The garlic and red pepper sounds great! Also, instead of saltines, I've used "oyster" crackers (the little round ones that people often use for soup). You would need to reduce the amount of oil you use depending on the amount of crackers. - 12/2/08

I wad introduced to these several months ago and have been meaning to make them for my family, but it totally slipped my mind until a coworker brought some to work the other day. They are soooo good. I use this same recipe, except for one thing. I use cajun seasoning instead of garlic powder. :) - 6/11/11
