I've made these for years also, but with just the ranch mix. The garlic and red pepper sounds great! Also, instead of saltines, I've used "oyster" crackers (the little round ones that people often use for soup). You would need to reduce the amount of oil you use depending on the amount of crackers. - 12/2/08

    Incredible!
This is a fabulous recipe and when I made them and took them to my weight loss meeting, they went over really great. The recipe went home with several of the members. I enjoy them as a snack with green tea. I also used unsalted tops for myself at home. Having some this evening for a snack. - 3/4/18

    Good
I added a sprinkle of parmesean cheese and baked them in the oven for 15 reminutes. The only thing I would do differently next time is leave out the garlic powder, way too overpowering for my liking. Good recipe but when all is said and done..its just crackers. - 10/24/12

I have always made these crackers with canola oil until I found out how bad it is for you. Instead of olive oil, what about coconut oil? - 8/18/12

    Incredible!
I wad introduced to these several months ago and have been meaning to make them for my family, but it totally slipped my mind until a coworker brought some to work the other day. They are soooo good. I use this same recipe, except for one thing. I use cajun seasoning instead of garlic powder. :) - 6/11/11

I have made this for a long time except I don't put in the garlic. They are great by them selves or served with meat, cheese or other toppings of your choice. - 3/28/11

I had these yesterday at a football party. They were so AWESOME!! I came home an immediately googled them and am delighted to see the recipe on spark! They are crunchy and not soggy, as one might expect! They sure were a BIG hit with EVERYONE! YUM!I can't wait to make them myself! - 11/28/10

These are sooooooo good! My friend makes them using Tawny's seasoning, but it's pretty close to the garlic powder. My problem is I love eating them with cheese, but they are yummy either way! Even my husband loved them! - 6/28/10

This is an excellent recipe but we make it with McCormicks Grinders Italian Seasoning instead of red peppers. I don't like spicy so a friend made them this way and they were AWESOME! - 1/25/10

These are SO ADDICTIVE! I love them but have to limit myself. They are great with salad. They retain the crunch even with the oil used. I highly recommend. - 9/25/08

These look really good but won't the crackers get soggy from the olive oil? - 3/14/08
