Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

1/2 package of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
8 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese, whipped
    1/3 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 tablespoon water
    1/4 cup apricot preserves
Fruit of your choice (sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, sliced kiwi, seedless grapes cut in half, blueberries, melon balls sliced in half)

Directions

CRUST: Spread the sugar cookie dough over a 14-inch pizza pan. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Cool in the pan.

TOPPING: Blend the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla until completely mixed. Spread in a thin layer over the cooled crust.

FRUIT LAYER: Creatively arrange the fruit in circles while slightly overlapping the slices around the crust.

GLAZE: Bring the water and preserves to a boil, stirring constantly. Lightly brush this glaze on top on the fruit to preserve the color. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

An easier healthier version - for the topping combine cool whip with low fat strawberry yougurt. I'm asked for the recipe everytime I bring it to a party. - 8/2/08

I have made this recipe many times. My daughter likes to help "decorate" the pizza with the fruit. I have changed it to individual fruit pizzas by making individual cookies with the dough and topping each one differently. - 4/29/09

I made this using home made graham-flour and splenda sugar cookie dough, fat free cream cheese and apricot all fruit... No one knew it was a healthy choice and it disappeared fast at a church picnic. Especially the children loved it! - 6/13/08

If you want to omit the glaze but want to preserve your fruits that turn brown....squirt a little fresh orange juice over the fruit in a bowl, mix, then place fruit on pizza. - 8/13/09

Ok first of all for all of the bad comments about this recipe. It is not like spark people is telling you to make it every night and eat the entire thing. It is just a recipe that if you chose you could make for a family gather. If you don't like the idea don't make it. - 6/9/08

I love this recipe, i skip the glaze though. I find it funny people are so concerned about 250 calories, most of my "treats" are around 250 calories and its well worth it. Not to mention the serving of fruit that comes with. I agree with the LF Cream Cheese. FF doesn't hold the same consistency. - 4/29/09

Thanks to those who understand that we are all striving for a balanced, healthy lifestyle where nothing has to be off-limits--just limited, learn how to make anything into a healthier version, and learn to be able to say "I have the right to make MY choices, but I do not have the right to make yours - 5/1/08

I love this recipe but I use tinned pineaple as a topping so instead of sugar or water I just use pineapple juice to thin and sweeten the cream cheese and skip the preserves layer. Works great! I also find my cookie mix requires the whole package for a pizza size pan. Tastes better the next day - 7/28/09

substituting plain yougurt for the topping and a sugar free pie crust makes the receipe not only just as delicious but also a 1/3 of the calories...had one at a barbecue once and you would never know it was actually good for you. - 6/9/08

I've made this for years for guests or potlucks. Always a hit! Try fresh peaches, pineapple chunks, & drained mandarin oranges, too. Lots of choices. My glaze had orange marmalade. No heating. I don't think it matters. For those that omitted the glaze, it keeps bananas & peaches from turning brown. - 10/27/08

I think that being that we are not on "diets", but that we are changing our lifestyles it would be ok to have this every once in awhile. A little variety is good now and again! We shouldn't be so hard on one another! We are all in different places on our journeys! - 6/9/08

Make the cookie dough at home- you can substitute w/splenda and no-fat cream cheese, add a little ground flax meal to the crust! I'm a low-fat ricotta girl. You could really go crazy and use a little Chevre! That should put you into healthy range! Delicious!
