Just wanted to tell you all that practically anything you want can be ordered from Vitacost.com and the shipping is free if you order over $49. Thy have great sales periodically and I think their prices are super.I'm not a Vitacost rep. just a long time customer, I want to try this. - 9/30/15

I must have done something wrong as mine didn't set - more like a very soft spreadable cheese. That said, it taste's absolutely wonderful! Very rich and earthy. Will definately make this again. - 3/4/14

Agar can also be found in Asian specialty groceries. Difficult to substitute. Konnyaku (konjac) behaves similarly but is also hard to find. Carageenan (Irish moss) works to a point although it doesn't set as firm hence I have used it in conjunction with soy flour. - 12/24/12

You can always order agar agar online. Amazon is a great place to find things you need but can purchase at home. - 4/21/11

Cool. This looks really easy. But I can never find agar agar in my local health food store, either (Just like TreeHugger 73). I would also welcome alternate suggestions. - 3/16/10
