Introduction
Sweet and nutritious Yojo to restore your mojo! Many thanks to my friend Julie for giving me this recipe. Sweet and nutritious Yojo to restore your mojo! Many thanks to my friend Julie for giving me this recipe.Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
1 package sugar-free Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup plain lowfat yogurt
Directions
Mix the sugar-free Jello envelope with the 1 cup boiling water until dissolved.
Stir the jello/water mixture into the 1 cup yogurt until well mixed, being sure to do this very slowly so as not to curdle the yogurt.
Divide into 4 half-cup servings (the little gladware containers are great for this!) and refrigerate until set, between 2 and 3 hours.
At less than 50 calories a serving, this is a refreshing and satisfying snack or dessert that I should liken to a parfait. One could make 2 1-cup servings for a very satisfying snack under 100 calories. I like using raspberry or blackberry flavoured jello, myself, but let your imagination run wild trying different flavours!

Made this with cherry jello and blueberry Greek yogurt. Yum! I've always loved jello. Never had anything quite like this. Next time I need something for a potluck, I'm going to make a layered jello with alternating layers of plain jello and yogurt jello. Maybe make each layer a different flavor. - 9/17/12

Delicious, nutritious treat. I am allergic to dairy but made this for my husband. I peeled, sliced and baked two peaches and drained the juice off of them (lots of juice). I used the juice with enough water to equal a cup to boil and mix with peach jello. Chopped the peaches and added them. Yum - 9/8/15

I have a friend that is on a feeding tube and she can eat this. Marvelous dessert for older persons. I make whipped short bread for her to go with it at Christmas as that she can manage too. She used this dessert at her 50th Anniversary. She is a treasure. - 12/29/13

I'm shocked at how great this is! It basically makes your jello more filling and satisfying, or your yogurt more exciting. I used slightly less yogurt (Greek, 6 oz) than this and divided it into 2 portions, and each one was SO filling--next time I think I'll make smaller ones. Thanks for sharing! - 4/28/11

My diabetes educator taught me to make something similar, 15 years ago. 1 6 or 8 oz plain yogurt, 1 tsp of sugar free jello mix. Stir well in the yogurt container, and eat right away or let chill in the refrigerator. Gets better with time. My favorite is lemon or black raspberry or blackberry. Great - 10/30/12

Made the strawberry jello with the plain yogurt. I poured this into small 4 containers and froze. YUMMY! Great LOW calorie treat and it last longer frozen. I ate it with a spoon as an icy. Next time I will try maybe the vanilla yogurt and the orange jello for the dreamcicle flavor. Excellent - 9/19/12
