Introduction

I love this recipe. I added spinach because I'm not much of a salad eater and it's a sneaky little way to get an extra serving of my veggies for the day. Believe it or not... you can't taste the spinach or even tell it's in there. I make a large batch all at once and save some in the fridge. I haven't tried it yet, but I bet you could also freeze them like a fruit pop. I love this recipe. Ingredients

A healthy handful of baby spinach
1 whole peach, sliced or cubed
1.5-2 cups of frozen mixed berries (really you could use any fruit you like)
Once those are in the blender add enough orange juice to cover about half of the fruits and veggies... less if you like it thick and more if you like it thin.

Directions

This is about enough for half a blender. Mix everything together and enjoy! You can substitute fruits and make it your own. I like it because I'm getting lots of fruits and veggies and don't have to sit and eat a salad. It's a good on the go drink that's quick and easy, and honestly!!! you can't taste the spinach, it's just an added suprise.

I made one this morning, but used cantaloupe instead of mixed berries, and a bit of peach yogurt. I still had some of the green color (may have gotten a bit spinach-happy), but it was sweet and great tasting! Thanks for the recipe! - 8/4/09

I always add spinach or another green to my smoothies. Adds "green" nutrition with no taste. Serve in a thermos bottle and you can't see the green color at all. - 8/28/12

The orange juice is not figured into the nutritional information. How much orange juice are people adding when saying you can't taste the spinach? I am horrible at eating veggies and thinking this might be a way to include some. - 7/1/14

Thanks - I've often wondered if I could combine fruit and veg - what will it taste like. But I like some fruit (especially tart fruit) with my main meal, so really, what's the difference?! - 8/28/12
