Way too salty (I second those who say to use only 1/2 the garlic salt and then use garlic powder instead) but apart from that very nice! - 1/21/09

These are delicious, I also used garlic powder instead of garlic salt, the only thing I would suggest is make sure you make them thick slices (I made thin and they burnt easy) but other than that, they were delicious :D - 11/5/08

I made this with fresh garlic and real olive oil. It adds a little more fat, but tastes 1,000 times better. Also I'm not sure that I would agree that two potatoes would be enough for 4 people. - 11/4/08

I absolutely loved these!! I used crushed red pepper instead of paprika because we didn't have any, and I also used the southwest chipotle Mrs. Dash instead of the regular... my husband and I love stuff spicy if you can't tell lol. Anyways they were great thanks so much for this awesome recipe!!! - 11/3/08

When I made these my family thought they were good but on the salty side. I used Garlic powder not garlic salt, too. So I am not sure why they were so salty. I am going to make them again using garlic poweder and Parmasian cheese like someone suggested!! - 11/2/08

I made these this weekend. Very tasty!
I used small, red potatoes instead of baking size. I cut them into pieces and pre-cooked them in the microwave for about 3 minutes. They didn't need the full 30 mins in the oven that way. I'd say only around 20 - 25.

This reminds me of a recipe I got years ago from Mrs. Dash--it called for a melted stick of butter that you dipped the potatoes into. Then you covered them in cheese! Yikes! I switched it to Olive Oil Pam years ago and left off the cheese! Try "table blend" Mrs. Dash for a less overpowering taste. - 10/29/08

We love potatoes and this is a way to enoy french fries minus the fat. I will use garlic powder next time instead of garlic salt, it was too salty for our taste. We wiped off most of seasoning and ate anyway. Very good recipe. Thank you! - 10/22/08

Very good option to enjoy french fries. I also add other spices depending on what I am looking for. (chili powder; pepper; even salt-free blends that I have) I have also made these fries using sweet potatoes and butternut squash - using spices like cinnamon and nutmeg - 10/21/08

I hate potatoes, but I love them this way! I added all the spices to the bag and skipped the drying and olive oil part. I used garlic powder instead of salt for more flavor. The potatoes were completely coated with the seasonings on both sides. I made sure to broil until really crisp. Perfect! - 10/17/08

I make a similiar recipe based on one I found in Cook's Illus where the potatoes are tossed w/a little bit of garlic infused oil, then microwaved til somewhat soft (precook). Then they were tossed w/the rest of the seasoning and baked at high heat. I like to vary the spices & mix sweet potatoes in - 10/16/08

I would not make this again w/out measurments. I tried to eyeball the ingredients, but it was too much.
I am a presision cook. My husband makes fun of me because I measure everything. When I look at a recipe I need to know how much to use and how long cook. This was a good "conceptual" recipe.
