A really nice recipe that's so simple. To cut down on the sodium, I used my own home-made sodium-free dried onion soup mix. - 3/13/11

Instead of throwing every together in a crock pot, I cooked mine in the oven at 375 for 1 hour. The dish itself was really yummy but tasted a little bit too salty. I will definitely make this dish again but need some ideas on how to cut back the "salty" taste. - 2/17/11

I like the idea of using the dry gravy mix. I have mushrooms in the fridge I can also add. Guess I know what we're having for dinner tomorrow! - 1/28/11

This is my kind of recipe! Simple ingredients with a great pay off. I also added in a 7oz can of mushroom pieces for a little more texture in the sauce. I served it with whole wheat egg noodles. It's a simple, filling & family pleasing meal! - 9/2/09

I must tell you, I am 75 years old and have been making this recipe longer than I can specify. But, friends, this such a useful, variable recipe! Don't limit yourselves. I have made it with por, beef, chicken, rabbit, venison, and what ever game the hunters brought in. No complaints! - 7/9/17

My fiancee got some pork roast the other day & we didn't know how to cook it. I made this recipe following DIANEM21092's directions for the oven because I decided to make it late in the day. OMG! It was delicious! My fiancee & I absolutely loved it! We use the leftovers for sandwiches- amazing! - 5/21/10

I mad this today and it was wonderful. I didn't have the dry soup mix so I did have dry onions and added those along with a small onion and garlic. It was easy, very tasty and everyone loved it. I will make this again. - 11/8/09

I didn't like the way the cream of mushroom looked when I opened the can, so instead of that I used two packages of the Pioneer brown mushroom gravy (unprepared). I used the one package of lipton onion soup mix (unprepared). Cooked in crockpot on low for 8 hours and it was DELICIOUS. - 5/6/09
