Very good recipe. We like more veggies in tamale pie, so I added chopped bell peppers, Rotel tomatoes with green chiles, oregano and black olives, and I used homemade cornmeal mush (polenta) instead of cornbread for the topping. - 2/13/15

Delicious! Simple to put together and relatively quick. I really like the tip to rinse the beef--if you use hot water, even more of the grease slides off of it. I'm going to try doubling and freezing one next time--should freeze well. Thanks for sharing! - 5/4/14

Made this for football watching with the boys and it was VERY good! I used premade polenta from Trader Joes instead of making my own and it was even quicker! Easy recipe, we all enjoyed it - 1/23/13
