Introduction

My family loves these and it is a great way to get the kids to eat veggies. My family loves these and it is a great way to get the kids to eat veggies.

Ingredients

    25 Brussel sprouts
    1 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1.5 tbsp olive oil

Directions

Wash the brussel sprouts, trim the hard white bottom and peel off any loose leaves. Place the washed sprouts in a glass baking dish and drizzle with olive oil, pepper and garlic powder. Toss to coat. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Check occaisonally. When done, outermost leaves will be crispy. The brussel sprouts carmelize a bit, so, this dish is more sweet than savory.

I thought they were really good. I don't get to eat brussel sprouts much so this is a great recipe to have when I do. They were too spicy for my girls to try even though I cut back on the pepper and garlic powder. My hubby likes spicy, but he didn't like these. To be fair, he's not big on sprouts. - 4/20/12

Very good recipe! I think they probably needed to be cooked a little longer (at least in my oven). Next time, I'll probably cook for 25 minutes instead. - 9/9/11

My family loves this. I substituted lemon pepper for the garlic powder. I make this often. It sure beats the way my mom would overcook brussel sprouts when I was a kid. Thanks! - 2/20/11

I've never liked brussel sprouts but I made them for my bf for dinner on Valentine's Day cause they're his favorite. Wow!! I won't say I loved it, lol, but I did like it and am considering making it for my kids to try! - 2/17/11
