Ingredients

    1lbs- Extra lean or lean ground beef
    1 cup- Rice White or brown
    1/2 cup -Onions Chopped
    3-5 cups -Cabbage chopped larger
    2-3 cups - tomato Juice
    Salt
    Pepper
    Garlic salt (optional)

    * you May Use Ground turkey Instead of Ground Beef

Directions

Makes 6-7 Servings
Serving size 1 cup
Pre heat for 325 degrees F

Do not pre-cook anything. mix ground beef, rice, onions and spices together and a bit of the cabbage. then layer the meat and the cabbage. in a Roasting Pan. or any Pan that can go in the oven. On each layer add a bit of your tomato Juice. once done pour the remaining tomato juice on top.

Bake on the middle rack or one higher.

Bake untill cooked and cabbage is soft. the 2 hours is Just an Estimate. Check every 30-45 mins

If it looks to be drying out just add more Tomato juice to the Top.

* freezes Great for Meals Later On!

    I love cabbage rolls (grew up eating them) and when I saw this recipe first on WW as Lazy Cabbage... I had to thunk my head like in the V8 commercials. Why hadn't I thought of this? LOL. I've scaled back the rice to 1/2 c and used ground turkey (what's on hand). Thanks! - 2/9/09

    Great base I mixed 1/2 lb pork with my beef hamburger, also mixed in a can of condensed tomato soup and small jar of shredded sauerkraut, it was very good. - 11/2/13
