Introduction

I use this frosting on Dark Chocolate cake. We all like it just a little to much! I use this frosting on Dark Chocolate cake. We all like it just a little to much!

Ingredients

    1 8 oz package Cream Cheese
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 cups powdered suger
    (more or less to your taste.

Directions

Whip softened cream cheese & margarine, add vannila, slowly add powdered sugar, mixing slowly as you add.

    I made this today but made only 1/3 of the recipe. That made enough to thinly frost 12 cupcakes and a 8x8 cake. That will add only 34 or so calories per serving and, although there is not a thick layer of icing, it is enough to be satisfying and to put a few decorative sprinkles on top if desired. - 1/9/11

    Great! I used the 1/3 less fat cream cheese, and I added a little more vanilla. It's tart, yet sweet. Perfect for the low fat carrot cake I made for my sister's birthday! Thanks for the recipe! :-) - 11/20/09

    Just like my mom used to make.
    I also like to use this recipe with a tsp of almond instead of vanilla extract depending on the cake. Yum!

    a little bit of lemon extract, french vanilla extract, almond extract, 1/2 plain cream cheese, 1/2 strawberry.
