Who needs the non food additives of processed store bought protein bars. Try these fresh out of your oven. Wrap individual bars in saran wrap and store in a ziplock bag in your refridgerator. Ingredients

200 Grams Rolled Oats
30 Grams Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
2 Tbsps Almond Butter or Smooth PB
3 egg whites
2 medium bananas
1 Tbsp Honey
100 ml Skim Milk
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
I use food processor with a blade. It turns the rolled oats into flour.
Mix the oats, whey protein powder and cinnamon.
Add the almond butter and mix thoroughly.
Add the egg whites, mashed bananas and honey.
Mix well and slowly add the skim milk.
Once mixed spoon or pour into a greased or parchment lined 9 x 9" cake pan.
Smooth with a knife.
Bake for 15 or 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cut into 8 bars when cooled.

I made up a batch of these today and the flavor is great! Unfortunately I didn't bake them quite long enough so the middle bars were still a little doughy and stuck to the wax paper. I'll be making them again for sure! Even the pick hubby liked them.... just don't tell him it's a "protein bar" - 8/29/10
