Ingredients

    500g lean mince
    200g pasta sheets
    2 x cloves of garlic
    2 tablespoons of basil
    2 x medium onions
    2 x medium peppers
    Can of chops tomatos
    Small can of Tomato Puree
    200g Low fat grated cheese
Approx 78g of powered white sauce mix (I buy 2 x 38g packets).
Approx 4 x cups of non fat milk

Serves approx 6 x large portions ie. 413 cals each - I usually have a smaller portion though and add a salad.

Directions

Whilst cooking the following par cook the pasta sheets in boiling water (drop of olive oil so they don't stick). I add 2 in a time so they don't touch in case they stick. Half cooked pasta sheets make a much nicer lasagne.
Add Olive oil & garlic to pan, and moderatly heat pan.
Add the mince meat until brown.
Add chopped onions and peppers, covered pan (I use tinfoil) so that onions and peppers can sweat.

Add the basil, tomato's, can of puree together and into pan.
Then mix the white sauce mix and milk into a pan, keep stirring and cook till it boils. I use the packets cause it means you can use non fat milk hence making a lower fat sauce.

Cook on low for five mins and stir occasionally.

Add a layer of mince meat mix to bottom of cooking tray (must quite a deep enough tray). Alternatively you can add extra pasta to the bottom layer before mince - this makes it easier to section off piece but means more carbs/cals for those pasta sheets.

Add a layer of pasta sheet (when they are half cooked it is a bonus as you can cut them into shapes appropriate to fit your dish.

Pour a layer of white sauce on top.

Add another layer of meat mix, pasta sheets then white sauce.

Finally add the grated cheese on top.

Put into a preheated oven for 30 mins at 200 degrees. All ovens vary but basically medium heat.
