Try cutting a flat surface on the potato then using a potato peeler to make the slices nice and thin. - 4/20/10

This recipe is the greatest thing that ever happened to me! Used a glass dish, sprayed with no calorie olive oil, pepper, lowry's salt -about 4mins each side. Then top with malt vinegar. I feel like praying.... - 9/16/11

This was excellent! Had to modify the cooking time a lot - 2 min, then flip, then 2 min. I did salt & vinegar and it was wonderful. Am looking forward to trying lots of spices, including the dry buffalo wing packet for my daughter! A potato - no oil - who would have figured!? - 2/8/10

I make these today and they were so good. I put the cut potatoes between two paper towel to dry them off to reduce cooking time. I will be making this again.

This was not a good recipe.
My potatoes were not cooked all the way through. The tops were golden and perfect but they were also glued and stuck to uncooked potatoes under them and everything was stuck to the dish.
It sounds like a good idea, maybe I didn't execute it correctly!

Maybe I didn't cut the potatoes thin enough, maybe there was something wrong with the potatoes, or maybe it was the microwave, but these didn't turn out well. They were chewy even though they were cooking for plenty enough time(6 min) and not crunchy. They stuck horribly to my plate. I did turn them - 2/10/10

My husband and I love the potato chips. I spray the pan with canola oil spray. The potato chips turn great. I could control the salt on them. I am going to try chili seasoning on the next time. - 4/13/11

I read through the comments before making these, used a slicer, adjusted the cook times for my microwave, and used a bit of sea salt (like saltier) and a bit of tex mex too... they were really good. Must admit I was sceptical, but they were very good! - 6/12/10

Easy way to get the crunch and taste of chips without the bad calories. I sprayed with a bit of Pam to avoid sticking, and it worked. Had to watch them closely so they did not get too crispy. - 3/14/10

Wow, I found this recipe yesterday and bought potatoes today. I just made them and I forgot to use tip someone mentioned about turning them over so they don't stick to the plate. I like BBQ normal chips and bought BillyBee Honey BBQ Seasoning to sprinkle and was very pleased with the results. - 10/28/09

Great way to do potato chips. And if you have a turntable in your microwave, watch the timing for the browning. They may brown more quickly. - 9/11/18

I threw a potato in my food processor. It has a chip esque blade. No hard work and the slices came out pretty thin. Threw them in the microwave on parchment paper with some garlic salt, and they came out amazing! Now I can have my chips without feeling guilty, and it's a money saver. Thank you! - 7/30/13

This recipe was posted a while back but I happened upon it searching for something microwaveable and quick for a snack. Who knew a small potato makes so many chips. I did slice them in processor...2 seconds and done and onto plate to microwave. This snack is DELICOUS! Thank you for sharing. - 6/11/13

The first batch stuck to the plate. The second time around I lightly sprayed the plate with butter flavored cooking spray. I sprinkled them with sea salt. Yummy! Even my youngest kiddo liked them. - 3/19/13

This would work in a pinch...since I didn't have access to parchment paper, I used a Pyrex pie plate. I used a mandolin for the slicing of the potatoes, and I think I just need to find my happy medium - the potatoes stuck to the plate. :/ - 6/8/10

Honestly these weren't good at all without using some sort of mandolin slicer. It was really hard to get them thin enough to where they tasted good. Also, the seasoning didn't come out too strong on the "chips" so they just tasted plain. I was disappointed because I was so looking forward to them! - 5/31/10

Excellent and great for getting that chip craving off your back. Watch cook time -- 1100 watt microwave and the first batch burned. Hubby and I both loved them and will definitely make them again. - 4/4/10
