Introduction

Ingredients

    1 tbsp. olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 dash pepper
    2 c fresh mushrooms, sliced

Tips

Garnish with a small pinch of parsley for added color.


Directions

Heat olive oil, garlic and pepper in a medium pan for a couple of minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and saute until golden brown and tender.
Makes 2 1-cup servings.

    My mother taught me how to make this a few months ago, and now I have it once a week! But instead of olive oil, I use tbsp of butter, and I use garlic powder versus cloves. Thanks for posting this! - 6/9/10

    I don't think this makes two 1-cup servings.....when you cook down 2 cups of raw mushrooms, you end up with about 1/2 to 3/4 cup in the end...so divided between 2 servings, gives you only 1/4 to 3/8 cup per person. - 6/9/11

    I do something similiar, but use less oil and add about a quarter cup of wine - depending upon what I'm serving it with either an apple spice wine -w/chicken or a red wine w/ beef. Cook until the wine evaporates. - 4/30/10

    Honestly, since putting in this recipe I have never added just a dash of pepper unless making it for guests. I ALWAYS put lots in when it's just for me.
