This receipe was very easy to make and is very filling. I am not a huge fan of green peppers so I substituted zucchini and it was excellent. If you don't care for tomatoes, you won't like this receipe as it is very "tomatoey" tasting. All is all a great receipe worth trying. - 5/26/13

This was pretty good. I used 1 cup consomme and 1 cup low sodium beef broth also left out the beans. - 9/1/15

Surprisingly tastier than expected or how it looked. Not the most eye catching dinner. Need to stir once in a while to keep orzo from sticking to the bottom. Left off beans because I forgot but was fine without. - 3/4/15

Fast, Easy, Delicious! My husband and I both loved it, although I did add a 1/2tsp of dried Italian seasoning to the recipe and minced garlic instead of the garlic powder. - 8/16/11

Very good and very easy. I added a small zucchini and left out the peppers. I will use less liquid next time because this was more like a thick soup than a skillet meal. I served it in bowls with a yeast roll, but it is really too hot here for soup so I'll adjust it next time. - 4/13/11

I used ground turkey instead of beef and did not use any oil. My husband and I really liked this dish. We'll definitely make it again and again! - 4/5/11

This was easy, filling, and SO yummy!

I used Italian style stewed tomatoes because that's what I had on hand.. and added 2 cloves of garlic to the meat/onion/peppers, but that's just because I'm addicted to garlic and add extra to any recipe I have that calls for it. :)

Was pretty good. Used ground turkey, fire roasted tomatoes with garlic and the tomato paste was a basil, oregano kind. - 1/27/11

It was easy to make and I like the onion, bell pepper, and tomatoes in the dish. However, I found it to be rather bland. Maybe I just made it wrong? - 1/20/11

I love orzo, so I wanted to love this. It was good, but missing something...not enough salt perhaps? I omitted the oil & peppers and used fresh garlic and Italian diced tomatoes. I may experiment with fresh or sundried tomatos and fresh basil - maybe omit the beans and add a little parmesan. - 9/19/10

So good and filling. Only thing I changed was I added about 1 cup of chopped zucchini (because at this time of the year I add it to everything I can) and a small can of mushrooms. Yum. - 8/25/10

I tried this last night. We really liked it and didn't change a thing except to add a frozen vegetable mix of corn, black beans, onions & peppers. Fantastic and filling. - 4/20/10

I love pasta which was one of my downfalls in gaining all this weight. This recipe was GREAT in that it was easy, my family loved it and I could eat it and still remain on target with my Spark People program. Thanks!! - 4/11/10

Very Good...I got the thumbs up to make it again. I didn't use the olive oil...there was enough grease from the ground beef to do the job. My man added a few dashes of Frank's hot sauce to spice his up. I think the next time I make it, I'll add a bit of thyme. It's a keeper ~ THANKS! - 3/10/10

This was a great recipe for someone like me who can't cook very well. I used chicken instead of ground beef (forgot the ground beef at the store) and it turned out great! - 10/20/09

I absolutely love the sauce, but I used different noodles so i don't think it turned out as good as it could have. I also had to cook the noodles separately, so they didn't absorb all of the yummy flavor. I think it would have gotten 5 stars if I had followed the directions exactly. - 8/12/09
