Grilled Tuna Grilled Tuna
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    3/4 Cup Coarsely chopped cantaloupe
    1/4 Cup chopped onion
    2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
    4 tsp olive oil
    1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
    1 tsp minced seeded jalapeno pepper
    2 5 to 6 oz fresh tuna steaks about 1/2 in thick

Directions

Prepare barbecue or skillet. Mix Cantaloupe, onion, cilantro, 2 tsp oil, lime juice, and jalapeno pepper in small bowl. Season salsa to taste with salt and pepper. Let stand 15 min. Meanwhile brush tuna steaks on both sides with remaining 2 tsp of oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill tuna until just opaque in center, about 3 min per side. Transfer to plates and serve with salsa. Makes 2 servings.

    This was pretty tasty, though I thought the salsa could use a little more kick...perhaps more jalepnos as someoene else suggested. The cilantro in the salsa made this very refreshing. - 4/2/10

    Very good! I added garlic to the salsa, and used parsley instead of cilantro (cilantro would have been better). I love the combo of fruit and tuna - will definitely make this again! - 8/7/07
