I omitted the cup of water, and it came out fanastic! I loved it and my kids also loved it. =D I also used canned green beans. Very quick, cheap and healthy! - 1/8/11

I, too, think it was too runny, and I only added 1/2 cup of water. I'll try adding milk next time, Spartanjai. Thanks! - 8/9/10

This dish went over very well! I doubled the recipe to accommodate my family. Second helpings were definitely had. Only issue I had was that the leftovers became very watery, so much so, that I will not add water next time I make it. This is a simple, quick dinner recipe and very good. - 10/5/17

Tried it tonight. Omitted the water. It looks kind of weird but it was really really good. I will definitely make this again. - 12/11/12

Made it tonight and it was great! Definitely omit that extra cup of water, though. I did, and drained the green beans as well. Consistency was perfect...oh, and don't be afraid to use more cheese on top. - 7/28/12

Too runny, if I make again I won't be adding so much water. - 1/5/12

I thought it was good but I made a couple of minor changes. I added a can of French Onion Soup and half a can of milk, no water. Came out Pretty good. - 8/1/11

wow this was really really good. I did leave out the water because the soup was good enough. I also had some mushrooms left over and I chopped them up and threw them in as well. Really really good. - 4/12/11

I've added 1/2 c. or so of milk when I've done it and it's never been "runny"... but I've always baked it longer because I've used the chicken breasts as halves instead of cutting the chicken up. - 3/3/10

    O.K.
I agree with merlin22, this was very runny. I will make it again, but next time omit the water called for in the directions portion of the recipe. - 8/2/08

I made this, but cheated a bit and added Durkey onions. My entire family loved this. I will definitely make this again!!! - 4/2/08

Very good, but I used canned green beans (drained) instead of frozen, and I cheated and placed a handful of stuffing mix. - 6/9/07

    Bad
This was too liquidy and would have been better with rice - 5/16/07
