Ingredients

    1 cup Amish Friendship Bread starter
    3 eggs
    1 cup canola oil
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup sugar
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    1.5 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 cups flour
    1 large box instant vanilla pudding mix

    for the topping:
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

Combine all except the final 2 ingredients. Combine the 1/3 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in a separate bowl.

Spray 2 loaf pans with non-stick spray, dust with 1 tablespoon each of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Pour batter evenly into the pans and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture over top.

Bake 1 hour @ 325 degrees. Cool until bread loosens from the pan (10 minutes) serve warm or cold.

Makes 2 loaves, about 10 slices each

    I've added different flavored pudding, ground nuts, dried fruit, and even different flavorings. My current favorite is some Hazelnut syrup (made for lattes), with hazelnut flour, some chopped hazelnuts and some oatmeal. Fantastic! My other one is Tropical fruit & artificial Rum flavoring, mmm! - 1/28/10

    We love this bread!! We usu add fruit before baking... sometimes bananas, sometimes apples, and this last time we added raisins and a little extra cinnamon - 1/15/10
