Introduction

Delicious spinach salad with strawberries and walnuts. If you want to lower the fat content, leave out the nuts or use non-fat dressing. The nuts are a good healthy fat though, so think twice. Ingredients

    10 oz. bag fresh spinach, rinsed
    2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
    1 cup sliced red onion rings
    1 cup walnut pieces/halves
    1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
    1 tbsp Wegman's Balsalmic Vinaigrette

Directions

Place spinach in a large bowl. Add dressing to the outer part of the bowl then lightly mix towards the center. Add the rest of the ingredients and toss lightly. Makes 6 servings.

    I have made several variations of this salad and they're all great. I make my own dressing with seasoned rice wine vinegar, olive oil and a little no-cal sweetener and some fresh herbs. Switch up the nuts and fruits for different flavors: toasted pine nuts and mandarins, mmmmmmm. - 3/25/10

    yippeeeee, I've already got all the ingredients and I love baby spinach. Hadn't thought of walnuts with strawberries but will add a few, maye 4 or 5. - 3/29/10
