Completely vegan, this sauce goes well over vegetables, rice and pasta. Completely vegan, this sauce goes well over vegetables, rice and pasta.
Number of Servings: 8


    1 cup white beans
    1 T. white or yellow miso paste
    1/2 cup soy or almond milk
    1 t. garlic salt
    1 t. smoked paprika
    1 t. turmeric
    2 T. nutritional yeast


Sort beans, removing any rocks or debris. Soak in cold water overnight. Rinse well. Cook over medium heat about one hour or until a bean can be smashed with your tongue against the roof of your mouth. Drain and rinse.
Put beans and all other ingredients in a blender. Process on medium speed until smooth. Add additional seasonings and/or soy milk until sauce reaches desired taste and consistency.
