Introduction

I bought a black bean dip to try at the store and LOVED IT! But I'm not prepared to pay almost $4 for a container so I looked at the ingredients and recreated it the best I could. It turned out great! Even better! And with less cals! This is great with baked pita, veggies or tortilla chips. I bought a black bean dip to try at the store and LOVED IT! Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 can black beans (drained and rinsed to reduce sodium)
    2 garlic cloves
    1 tbsp cilantro
    1 tbsp chopped green pepper
    1 tsp chipotle tabasco cause - or to taste
    1/4 c lemon juice
    1 tbsp water (I used H20 instead of oil...cuts cals and not taste)

Directions

Drain and rinse beans.
Combine in food processor (I used my magic bullet and it worked great)
Puree

Serve cold or fresh with pita, veggies or tortilla chips.
approximately 10 servings at 3 tbsp each.
