Introduction

This was a recipe introduced in a date night cooking class I took. I absolutely LOVED it. It's absolutely delicious.... yet for 1 of these, the calories were in the 1000 calorie range :( So I've slimmed it down to a much more manageable number, and it's STILL delicious! Ingredients

    1 d'anjou pear
    1 tbsp butter
    2 tbsp sugar
    .5 oz brandy
    2 pillsbury biscuits
    1 tbsp mascarpone cheese
    1 tbsp honey
    egg for egg wash

Directions

1 heat a small saute' pan
2 add butter and melt
3 add pear and saute'
4 add sugar and incorporate
5 deglaze with brandy, flame and reduce to a simmer
6 cook until it reaches loose sauce consistency
7 pour into a small oven safe dish (a small rectangular dish works well)
8 form the two pieces of biscuit dough into one piece, and top pear mixture with it.
9 brush the top with egg wash
10 bake at 400 degrees until crisp
11 top with mascarpone cheese and drizzle with honey
