Ingredients

    1 stick butter
    1/2 cup cocoa
    4 cups confectioner’s sugar
    ~1/4 cup milk

Directions

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
enough for me to lightly frost about 60 cupcakes, but depends on how much frosting you like...

1 stick butter
1/2 cup cocoa
4 cups confectioner’s sugar
~1/4 cup milk

1. Beat butter on high for about 30 seconds until soft.
2. Add cocoa and 1 cup of sugar and beat until incorporated
3. Add half of the milk and the remainder of sugar and beat until incorporated.
4. Continue to add milk until you get to the consistency you want.

I have Never made frosting before and this was wonderful! I doubt that I will buy chocolate frosting again. I will know for next time that I will only make 1/2 when making a 9x13 cake. - 2/26/11

absolutely delicious! However, I used I can't believe it's not butter stick instead of regular butter. - 5/4/10

@paulettee1.....pretty annoying comment. Was it necessary? It's all about portion control. As you can see it's for 60 servings. Part of portion control is the art of SELF control. Master that and you can have a taste of a full fat/flavor treat which is actually more satisfying (mentally). - 8/12/10
