Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

1/2 lb bacon, sliced into small pieces
2 medium sized ripe tomatoes, diced
4 tbsp basil (or more to taste)
1 tsp garlic (or more to taste)
1 box (1lb) Barilla penne pasta
Kraft Miracle Whip Light Dressing (about 12 tbsp, mayo can also be used)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (about 2 tbsp)

Directions

Cut bacon into tiny strips and fry with olive oil and 1 tbsp basil, 1/2 tsp garlic. Set aside. Set water to boil (with a tiny bit of salt and some olive oil floating on the surface - this will keep the pasta from sticking) and add 1 box of penne, cook until done, strain, and return back to pot. While pasta is cooking, dice tomatoes. After pasta is back in the pot, add tomatoes and the basil and bacon mixture, stir. Add miracle whip to lightly coat entire mixture and stir in. Add the remaining basil and garlic and stir in - enjoy! This makes 12 (1.5 cup) servings.
