Introduction

i am currently a single mom, with a full time job, so this recipe is quick, easy, and really hits the spot. it's caloric value for one serving is decent, great source of protein... although i need to figure a way to cut down the sodium... i hope you enjoy it as much as we do! i am currently a single mom, with a full time job, so this recipe is quick, easy, and really hits the spot. it's caloric value for one serving is decent, great source of protein... although i need to figure a way to cut down the sodium... i hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients

1 can dark red kidney beans
    1 can pinto beans
    1 can white beans
    1 packet chili seasoning
    1 can tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes (chili ready)
1 1/3 cups chopped onions (or to taste)
20 oz extra lean ground turkey
    other seasonings to taste

Directions

brown ground turkey, cook thoroughly. after turkey is cooked combine with remaining ingredients in slow cooker. i usually put this on in the morning or at lunch time, so i cook it on low 5-8 hours. if you want to prepare it quicker (like in the evening) you can cook on high for 2-3 hours.

garnish with cheese, sliced avocado, chopped onions, tomato, or black olives if you like. (these items were not added to nutritional info)

makes about 7 1.5cup servings.
